MACKLIN – Unity RCMP have arrested a man after a break in to a residence in Macklin.
– one count, break, enter and commit the indictable offence of assault; and
– one count, mischief under $5,000.
MACKLIN – Unity RCMP have arrested a man after a break in to a residence in Macklin.
On July 10 at approximately 1 a.m., Unity RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a residence in Macklin.
The investigation determined a man entered a residence. When confronted by an adult female occupant, an altercation occurred between the occupant and the male, who then ran. The woman did not report any significant physical injuries to police.
Officers began searching for the suspect. He was located and arrested in Macklin at about 3:45 a.m. He was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries received during the altercation with the victim.
As a result of the continued investigation, a 51-year-old man, from Montreal Lake Cree Nation, is charged with:
– one count, break, enter and commit the indictable offence of assault; and
– one count, mischief under $5,000.
He is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on July 15.
