The Water Security Agency says a wet fall shows a higher runoff is possible in southern Saskatchewan next spring.
Patrick Boyle with the Water Security Agency says precipitation has been well above normal this fall in much of Southern Saskatchewan.
Boyle says the Souris River basin, including the Antler River and Gainsborough Creek bains were particularly wet at freeze-up.
A few areas are drier than normal around Kindersley, the area between Saskatoon and Prince Albert, and a small area northeast of Yorkton.
Boyle says an updated forecast will be issued in early February because winter snow has a major impact on spring runoff.
