On July 14 at approximately 11:10 p.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a potential break and enter at a church on Winder Crescent in North Battleford. Officers attended and arrested five suspects. The suspects did not gain entry to the church and no damage was noted to the building. During a search of the suspects, officers seized an imitation firearm and weapons from a man and weapons and bear spray from a woman.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old female suspect, from Saskatoon, has been charged with one count, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and one count, fail to comply with undertaking condition.
A 29-year-old male suspect, from Wilkie, has been charged with one count, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.

The three suspects are scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Sept. 28.
The other two arrested individuals were released without charges.
"Thanks to the quick response and proactive police work of our officers and assistance from the public, we were able to intervene before a break and enter occurred. Their vigilance not only prevented further property crime, but also allowed us to hold those responsible accountable,” says S/Sgt. Bryce Pender with Battlefords RCMP, in the news release. “We remain committed to working closely with our community partners to enhance public safety and help prevent crime.”
