The Regina Pats have made a move on the blue line, trading defenceman Jonas Kohn to the Victoria Royals.
In return, the Pats received a fifth-round pick in the 2030 WHL Prospects Draft, originally belonging to the Kelowna Rockets.
Kohn, 19, suited up in 39 games during his rookie WHL season with Regina in 2025-26, recording one goal and three assists for four points. The 6-foot-4, 212-pound left-shot defenceman also accumulated 49 penalty minutes and finished the season with a minus-nine rating.
The Stillwater, Minn., product joined the Pats as a free-agent invite, signing with the club following training camp in September 2025.
Before making the jump to the WHL, Kohn starred at Stillwater High School during the 2024-25 season, collecting 31 points (five goals, 26 assists) in 30 games.
