SASKATOON — A man is facing weapons related charges following an incident involving a pocket knife overnight.
On July 28, at approximately 12:50 a.m., police were called to the Queen Elizabeth neighbourhood, in the 100 block of Ruth Street East, for a weapons call where it was reported that a man was swinging a knife around.
Officers arrived on scene and located a man matching the suspect description. He was arrested without further incident and a search resulted in police locating a pocket knife.
Through their investigation, officers learned that there was a brief verbal altercation between the victims and suspect before the suspect pulled out a knife. There are not believed to have been any physical injuries as a result of this incident.
The 41-year-old man has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon.
