CUT KNIFE — The Cut Knife RCMP received 74 calls for service between July 20 and July 26.
These files include; animal calls, assaults with weapons, assaults on police, assaults, breach of peace, disturbing the peace, Excise Act, failure to comply with orders, frauds, Mental Health Act, mischiefs, impaired operation, flight from police, other thefts under $5,000, motor vehicle collisions, possession for the purpose of trafficking, suspicious persons, theft of motor vehicle, uttering threats, weapons possession contrary to orders, information files, well-being checks and assisting another agencies and the public.

On July 20, Cut Knife RCMP received a complaint of a stolen truck in the community of Marsden. This is suspected to have occurred in the early hours of the day. It was later located in the Wainwright, Alta. area. If the public knows any information about this incident, please call the Cut Knife RCMP. The matter is still under investigation.
On July 21, Poundmaker Security reported spray-painted vandalism at the rink in Poundmaker. The matter is still under investigation.
On July 23, Cut Knife RCMP responded to an unwanted individual at a residence in Little Pine First Nation. Members attended and located the individual who was breaching court-ordered conditions. The individual was arrested and later released with a court appearance.
On July 24, Cut Knife RCMP attended a residence on Little Pine First Nation of an unwanted individual who had smashed a window to a residence. On arrival, the individual armed themselves with a shovel to prevent being arrested by police. Shortly later, the individual was taken safely into custody and held for court. Drugs and alcohol may have been a factor.
On July 25, Cut Knife RCMP was dispatched to gunshots being heard around Little Pine First Nation. Members located an individual suspected to be involved, who was in possession of ammunition contrary to court orders. The individual was also breaching other court-imposed conditions. The individual was held for court in North Battleford.
On July 26, Cut Knife RCMP were dispatched to an alarm at the Cut Knife Community Centre. Video footage showed an individual attempting to gain access and running away when the alarm was activated. RCMP want to remind community members to ensure vehicles and residences are locked when unattended and keep valuables out of sight.
In addition to calls received, 24 traffic stops were made, resulting in tickets, warnings, and impaired driving charges. Members also attended two Mental Health Act calls.
