ESTEVAN — A member of the Estevan Police Service (EPS) was recently presented with Valour Quilt for his response to a serious situation nearly three years ago.
Annette Chatani from Hearts and Hands Quilt Guild stopped by the police station to present Sgt. Braden Lonsberry with a Valour Quilt, in recognition of his bravery in the line of duty during an incident at the police building in November 2023.
The EPS noted the guild is a group that creates handmade quilts to support community non-profits, including the United Way Estevan Telethon and Estevan Public Library.
"The quilt presented today is a great example of their amazing handiwork," the EPS said in the Facebook post.
