ESTEVAN — Five people who were charged in relation to firearms theft and trafficking were in Estevan Provincial Court on Aug. 10.
Vladimir Peterson, Jordan Hochstein, Jared Brailean, Christopher Fauser and Chelsea Reykdal are all charged with numerous firearms-related offences.
Hochstein, Brailean, Peterson and Reydal's lawyers all asked for their appearances to be adjourned until Sept. 14, to which Judge Mitch Miller consented. Fauser's asked for his to move to Sept. 21, which was also permitted.
They are facing dozens of charges between the five of them. Hochstein is in custody, as he was out on a conditional sentence order when he was arrested for the firearms offences. The others are out on conditions.
Mackenzie Rochelle Holmes, who was facing 16 charges, pleaded guilty on July 13 to one count of possessing a firearm, prohibited weapon, restricted weapon, prohibited device, or prohibited ammunition without the required licence and registration certificate. She was issued a condition sentence order of two years less a day, plus a mandatory 10-year weapons prohibition order.
The three firearms that were stolen have been recoverd.
