PRINCE ALBERT — The Prince Albert Police Service, in partnership with the Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC), held a press conference Wednesday to provide an update on the investigation into the disappearance of 14-year-old Peyton Flett and to renew their urgent appeal for public assistance.
Peyton was reported missing on June 30, and investigators continue to work alongside the family, PAGC and community partners to locate her and determine the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
Police are asking anyone who may have information about Peyton’s whereabouts, movements or circumstances surrounding her disappearance to come forward.
The Prince Albert Police Service recognizes that there may be individuals who are hesitant to speak directly with police. Through the partnership between PA Police and PAGC, community members have another avenue to provide information that could assist the investigation.
“Peyton is deeply loved and deeply missed," said Grand Chief Brian Hardlotte of the Prince Albert Grand Council. "Her family needs answers — they shouldn't have to carry this uncertainty alone. We know some people are hesitant to go to police. That's exactly why PAGC and the Prince Albert Police Service are working together: to remove barriers and make sure anything that could help find Peyton reaches investigators.
“Someone knows something," added Hardlotte. "Coming forward isn't always easy, but you don't have to be the one who decides if it matters — just tell us what you know. Speak directly with PAPS, or come to PAGC and we'll make sure it gets to the investigation. We hold Peyton and her family in our prayers, and we stand with them in these joint search efforts to bring her back home."
Chief of the Prince Albert Police Service Patrick Nogier said that “locating Peyton remains a priority" for the Prince Albert Police Service.
"Our investigators are committed to conducting a thorough investigation and pursuing any information that may assist in determining her whereabouts. We encourage anyone who may have information that could help locate Peyton to contact the Prince Albert Police Service or the Prince Albert Grand Council.”
Police are reminding the public that even information that may seem insignificant could be important to the investigation. Investigators will determine whether a detail is relevant.
