Update: PENSE — The Saskatchewan RCMP is reporting that one person has died due to a collision that occurred on Highway 39 earlier this month.
According to an RCMP news release, Moose Jaw RCMP received a report Aug. 10 of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highways 39 and 339 in the RM of Pense.
The RCMP said an investigation determined a truck and semi-trailer unit collided. The driver and sole occupant of the truck was transported to hospital. At the time of the collision, the RCMP said he suffered serious injuries. The RCMP is now reporting he later died in hospital.
The man has been identified as a 25-year-old from Regina. The RCMP said his family has been notified.
The driver and sole occupant of the semi did not report injuries to police, the RCMP said.
