UNITY – Unity RCMP are asking the public to report sightings and information on the whereabouts of wanted man 30-year-old Ricky Vidnes.
On Aug. 17 at approximately 12:40 p.m., Unity RCMP witnessed a man, who they knew to be an unauthorized driver, get into the driver’s seat of a vehicle in Unity. Officers attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle did not stop. Eventually the vehicle collided with a building and the man ran. No injuries were reported as a result of this collision.
As a result of the continued investigation, 30-year-old Ricky Vidnes is wanted on a warrant by Unity RCMP for charges including:
- one count, dangerous operation of motor vehicle;
- one count, flight from peace officer; and
- one count, fail to comply with release order.
Ricky Vidnes is described as:
- Height: 5 ft 11 in
- Weight: 146 lbs
- Eye colour: brown
- Hair colour: brown
- Other descriptors: triangle shaped tattoo on right hand
