BROADVIEW — A new court date has been set for a man arrested following an armed confinement and assault on the Kahkewistahaw First Nation.
Anthony Kinistino, 44, was in Broadview Provincial Court on Aug. 19, where he was remanded in custody until Sept. 2.
On May 27, Broadview RCMP received a report that a woman was being held against her will by an armed man at a residence on the Kahkewistahaw First Nation.
Investigators say the woman was assaulted and threatened with a firearm while being prevented from leaving the residence.
