Fresh off a Stanley Cup victory with the Colorado Avalanche, Ryan Murray will be playing a little bit closer to home for the 2022-23 season.
The local defenceman signed a one year contract with the Edmonton Oilers worth $750,000 on Friday.
In 2022, Murray had four assists in 37 games with Colorado.
Back in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, the Oilers selected Nail Yakupov with their first, while Murray was chosen second overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets.
