CANOE LAKE CREE FIRST NATION, Sask. – Beauval RCMP are asking the public to report sightings of wanted man Brandon McCallum.
On Aug. 24 at around 12:20 a.m., Beauval RCMP received a report of an assault at a residence on Canoe Lake Cree First Nation.
The investigation determined a male forcibly entered a residence, threatened an occupant with a firearm, then assaulted them. The victim was treated at the local clinic for injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.
As a result of the continued investigation, 24-year-old Brandon McCallum, from Meadow Lake, has been charged with:
– one count, break and enter;
– one count, assault with a weapon;
– one count, assault causing bodily harm;
– one count, pointing a firearm;
– one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
– one count, careless use of a firearm;
– one count, use of a firearm in the commission of an offence;
– one count, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized; and
– three counts, weapons possession while prohibited.
Beauval RCMP are working to locate and arrest Brandon McCallum. They ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact police.
McCallum is described as approximately 6’2” and 200 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.
