PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — A routine traffic stop by Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan (PACTSS) in Prince Albert on Tuesday resulted in the seizure of three firearms, amunition, and a knife. It also led to all five occupants facing 22 firearm-related charges each.
On Aug. 25, at approximately 1:19 p.m., a PACTSS officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3000 block of 2nd Avenue West. There were five occupants in the vehicle, including three females and two males.
As a result of the traffic stop, police determined that two male passengers had outstanding warrants, leading to their arrests. The driver was found to be unlicensed and was determined to be impaired by cocaine. The driver received a roadside suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for three days.
All five made their first appearances in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Aug. 26.
