SASKATOON, Sask. — On Aug. 31, Kenneth Butler, an inmate from the Regional Psychiatric Centre, died while in Correctional Service Canada custody.
At the time of death, Butler was 43-years-old and had been serving a life sentence since April 8, 2009.
The inmate’s next of kin have been notified, say CSC.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the CSC say they will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
The Regional Psychiatric Centre in Saskatoon is a multi-level security federal custodial forensic psychiatric facility operated by CSC.
