PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — The Saskatchewan Marshals Service (SMS) has arrested 30-year-old David Faucher at a business in Prince Albert.
Faucher was wanted by the RCMP in Newfoundland and Labrador on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder in connection with the murder of 43-year-old Franz Drosch in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador, on Aug. 4, 2023. The RCMP issued a news release on June 5 and Aug. 11, seeking the public's help locating Faucher. Following information received, and an in-depth investigation, SMS members located Faucher in Prince Albert, where he was taken into custody.
Newfloundland and Labrador RCMP say arrangements are currently being made to return him to Newfoundland and Labrador.
