PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — On Sept. 7, inmate Scott Sargefield failed to return to the minimum-security unit at Saskatchewan Penitentiary following an authorized temporary absence.
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Prince Albert RCMP, and a warrant for the inmate’s arrest has been issued.
Scott Sargefield is 53 years old, is 5-foot-4 and 115 lbs. He has a fair complexion, blue eyes and grey hair.
Sargefield is currently serving a sentence of two years, one month, 19 days for theft under $5,000 and uttering threats of death/harm.
Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Scott Sargefield is asked to contact the Prince Albert Detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
CSC says it will investigate the circumstances of this incident and is working with the police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.
