REGINA – Regina Police Service are reporting a man was charged following a vehicle collision.
On Sept. 5 at approximately 2:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the 2100 block of Hamilton Street. Upon arrival, officers determined that both vehicles involved had sustained significant damage and were undriveable.
Neither driver reported injuries.
During the investigation, it was determined one of the drivers allegedly intentionally swerved into the other vehicle, causing the driver to lose control and hit a tree. The drivers were known to each other.
As a result of this investigation, a 24 year-old male suspect is charged with:
• Operate conveyance dangerous to public; and
• Assault with a weapon.
The accused will make his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on Oct. 20.
