LLOYDMINSTER, Alta., Sask. — Lloydminster RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Sept. 7 and is asking for the public’s help.
Emergency crews responded to the area of 49 Avenue at approximately 6:30 a.m., after receiving a report of a person lying on the roadway. This is in the downtown area with 49 Avenue being on the Saskatchewan side of the border city.
When officers arrived, they determined the individual had sustained injuries because of a collision involving a vehicle.
The person was taken to hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased. Investigators have identified a suspect vehicle and driver, and the investigation remains ongoing. RCMP didn’t indicate whether the person was a male or female, or the age.
Anyone who was around 49 Avenue and Highway 16 at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 7, and who may have dash camera footage or security camera video, is asked to please contact the Lloydminster RCMP at 780-808-8400.
