LLOYDMINSTER, Sask. — A 24-year-old man from Langham has been charged with robbery after a liquor store on 40 Ave. on the Saskatchewan side of the border city was robbed.
According to Lloydminster RCMP, on Sept. 4, a man entered the liquor store, took items without paying, and assaulted the store employee before fleeing the scene. RCMP didn't provide the dollar value of the stolen items.
Police identified a suspect through video surveillance, and after attempts to locate him, the suspect turned himself into police.
He was charged with robbery and brought before a Justice of the Peace and released with conditions.
He is scheduled to appear before the Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Lloydminster on Sep. 28.
