SASKATOON, Sask. — Three people are facing drug and weapons charges following a months-long investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team.
At around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 5, members of the Crime Reduction Team, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, initiated enforcement action in a drug trafficking investigation while in the area of the Borden Bridge on Highway 16. Two men, age 43 and 30, and one 24-year-old woman were arrested without incident.
As a result of their continued investigation, police seized 23 litres of GHB, 0.3 grams of methamphetamine, 2.0 grams of cocaine, 6.3 grams of MDMA, 32.2 grams of shatter, 4x oxycodone pills, 85x BTB Bupropion Hydrochloride pills, a sawed-off .22 calibre semi-automatic rifle (prohibited), ammunition, a hatchet and $251 CAD.
The 43-year-old man was also wanted Canada-wide for being unlawfully at large and the 24-year-old woman was found to have a warrant for breaching a release order.
