Have you ever had one of those days where your body seems to be working perfectly, but your mind seems to be miles away? Well, apparently, today is one of those days.
This morning when I got to work I couldn’t remember whether or not I put on any anti-perspirant after I showered. I don’t know what made think of it, but I just couldn’t recall putting any on. A quick trip with my nose to my armpit assured me that I was actually okay in that department. Good. I certainly didn’t want to be known as the “B.O. Guy” at work today.
Then, halfway to work I asked myself, “Have I run any red lights this morning?” I’m sure I hadn’t, but I just couldn’t remember stopping at any intersections. That’s not the first time that has happened.
For the last few months all of us working here in the morning have been able take advantage of underground parking, seeing as the rest of the staff is working from home. Before that I always parked right in front of the station. This morning, instead of turning in to the building go underground, I actually pulled up on the street just outside our front door. Duh! It took me a second or two to catch on before backing up the length of the building and driving underground.
I have no idea where my mind was this morning.
I hope it had a nice vacation, wherever it went.
