A great day with shiny cars, and a helping hand to the Regina Foodbank.
Access Communications announced its 15th annual show and shine raised $46,300 for the food bank.
“The Labour Day Show N Shine is such an incredible example of our community coming together and this year brought together more fun and more sun than ever before,” said John Bailey, CEO of the Regina Food Bank. “For the 15th edition of this event to set a record for funds raised is a testament to the show itself and an incredible embodiment of neighbours feeding neighbours. There has been a record demand at our Food Bank, and we know we will also be able to meet the need because our city has our back. Thank you to CAA Saskatchewan, the Collectors Car Club, Access Communications, and all the volunteers, guests, and exhibitors. Your support makes our work possible.
Over the 15 years of its existence, the show and shine event has raised almost 300-thousand dollars.
“We couldn’t ask for a more perfect day for our biggest show yet,” said Jim Deane, CEO of Access Communications. “With the demand for Regina Food Bank services higher than ever, we’re grateful to the community for showing up and helping us make a difference. The show is a labour of love, and we’re unbelievably grateful for the volunteers, sponsors, and car enthusiasts who make it all possible.”
