SASKATOON, Sask. — Saskatchewan conservation officers are asking for the public’s help in two separate illegal dumping investigations near Saskatoon and the Borden bridge.
On Sept. 11, Saskatoon conservation officers identified 16 clear garbage bags containing carpet and foam underlay that had been discarded at the Borden bridge.
According to Sasktip Facebook post, the materials likely came from a residential or small commercial property that experienced flooding during the recent heavy rainfall.
Officers are asking anyone with information that could help identify the person or people responsible to contact the Turn-In-Poachers and Polluters hotline.
In a separate investigation, Saskatoon conservation officers received a Turn-In-Poachers and Polluters call on Aug. 2 about household garbage that had been unlawfully dumped near the entrance to the Green Prairie Landfill, south of Saskatoon.
Officers attended the scene and collected evidence.
SaskTIP said the dumping occurred Aug. 1 at approximately 12:54 p.m.
The suspects are believed to have been operating a white 1970s- or 1980s-era crew-cab, square-body truck equipped with a rear hydraulic box lift.
Conservation officers are asking anyone who recognizes the suspected vehicle or has other information about the incident to come forward.

Tipsters do not have to provide their names and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 through the SaskTIP Rewards program.
