SASKATOON, Sask. — A 55-year-old woman is recovering in hospital after being assaulted outside an apartment building in the city’s Central Business District early Wednesday morning, say Saskatoon police.
At approximately 1:40 a.m. on Sept. 16, police received a report of a disturbance outside an apartment building in the 500 block of 24th Street East. When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from what appeared to be serious injury. They also located the 69-year-old suspect nearby. Police say he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
The man, whose name wasn’t released by police, is now facing charges of aggravated assault, breach of probation and possession of methamphetamine.
