SASKATOON, Sask. — Three people are facing a combination of 40 charges following the conclusion of an illicit drug and firearms investigation in Brighton.
Shortly before 10 p.m. on Sept. 11, members of the Saskatoon Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the Drug Unit, Tactical Support Unit, and National Weapons Enforcement Support Team, initiated enforcement action in an illicit drug and firearms investigation with the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Schmeiser Bend.
Two 30-year-old men were arrested from the residence without incident. A 23-year-old man attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended by a police service dog and subsequently arrested.
Warrants have also been requested for the arrest of a 30-year-old woman.
Police seized;
- Two 9mm Glock handguns (restricted)
- Century Arms semi-automatic rifle (prohibited)
- Magazines that were 5x over capacity
- Assorted ammunition
- $326,490 CAD
- $1,460 USD
- 2025 Hyundai Tucson
- 7,789.99 grams of soft cocaine
- 9,400.22 grams of methamphetamine
- 760x Dilaudid 8 pills.
All three have been charged with drug, weapons, and proceeds of crime offences.
