SHELLBROOK, Sask. — RCMP are asking the public help after 10 firearms, ammunition, and power tools were stolen during a break-in at a rural property in the RM of Shellbrook earlier this week.
Saskatchewan RCMP say that on Sept. 16, at about 9:50 a.m., Shellbrook RCMP received a report the break and enter.
The police investigation determined an unknown individual, or individuals, entered a garage on the property and broke into a gun safe. The individual(s) later left in a dark-coloured, four-door pick-up truck. 10 firearms, power tools, and ammunition were reported as stolen to police. The break-in occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 15.
The victim of the break-in told SaskToday that the weapons stolen included a Wolfe Muzzleloder, a .410 shotgun, a .243 Savage, a .243 Ruger, a .270 Savage, a 20-gauge shotgun, a .308 Ruger, a Chinook 12-gauge shotgun, a Browning 410 shotgun, a .22 Wakefield, and a .22 calibre that is in pieces.
Shellbrook RCMP continue to investigate.
