September 27th is the date for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope. This year there has been a change in date, so you haven’t missed it! And as we have the last couple of years, it is begins at Miller High on College Avenue and Winnipeg Street, Regina.
I’m Gloria and I’ll be your emcee for the day. Sunday brings together survivors and those that support Ovarian Cancer Canada’s efforts to engage, inform and support the survivors and those going through early stages of diagnosis and treatment. It is a time to share stories, laugh, win prizes, eat a hotdog & bag of chips with a drink and walk and talk.
Sadly faces change through the passage of time. But that fraternity of Teal Sisters does not forget those that have battled and we honour those names.
Anne Chase is a warrior and has been a survivor for 28 years. Click on the audio file to hear her daughter talk about the walk and its importance. Deb Clark gives details about the day, Sunday September 27th. The weather has always been co-operative. So, see you there.
