CARLYLE, Sask. — A Regina man arrested in connection with a forcible confinement case on White Bear First Nation has appeared in court again.
Braiden Hotomani, 28, was in Carlyle Provincial Court Sept. 23, where he was remanded in custody until Oct. 7.
On May 24, Carlyle RCMP were called to White Bear First Nation after a report of a man who had been forcibly confined, threatened with a firearm and repeatedly assaulted.
The victim was able to escape and was treated for injuries described as non-life-threatening.
After the suspect was arrested, police say they seized an axe and a handgun.
