SASKATOON, Sask. — The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) says it is investigating the city's 10th homicide of the year.
According to a news release from the SPS, at approximately 7 a.m. on Sept. 26, police responded to a report of an injured man in the area of 71st Street East and Lipsett Crescent.
The SPS said upon arrival, police and Saskatoon Fire Department attempted life-saving measures, but the man died from his injuries at the scene. Police have cleared the area and all traffic restrictions have been lifted.
Earlier in the morning, the SPS said 71st Street was closed between Millar Avenue and Arthur Rose Avenue.
Members of the SPS Major Crime Section are investigating, the SPS said, and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
