The Humboldt Broncos and Flin Flon Bombers have officially completed one of the biggest deals from last season’s SJHL trade deadline.
The Bombers announced Friday they’re sending forwards Jack Martin, Leo Seitz and Ryan Ulmer to Humboldt to finalize the future considerations portion of the January 10th trade that saw goaltender Charlie Tritt, along with veterans Ryder Knutson and Connor Miller, head to Flin Flon.
The original deal helped Flin Flon build a championship roster, with Connor Miller returning to Humboldt in the offseason and now serving as the Broncos’ captain. Miller earned SJHL playoff MVP honours after recording 15 points in 15 games during the Bombers’ run to their first league title since 1993.
Martin finished last season with 42 points, ranking third in scoring for Flin Flon, while Seitz and Ulmer were key contributors to the Bombers’ squad that represented the SJHL at the Centennial Cup in Prince Edward Island.
The deal also saw Humboldt move its top goaltender in Tritt, who was named the SJHL’s SaskTel Goaltender of the Year, along with Knutson, whose veteran presence helped Flin Flon during its championship run.
