REGINA, Sask. — The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s help with an investigation into a suspected shooting.
The request followed a Thursday afternoon call for assistance to the 1100-block of Robinson Street, with the caller reporting a man had been shot and that the suspects had fled the scene on foot.
Police said Friday officers arrived to find two men and one boy suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
Friday’s update from police had no further information on the condition of the victims, whose injuries police had described Thursday as non-life threatening.
Over a half dozen police cruisers could be seen on and adjacent to Robinson Street in the immediate aftermath of Thursday’s call, which police said came in around 12:45 p.m. Officers and SWAT team members also patrolled the area on foot, one of them telling SaskToday there was no danger to the public, as vehicle traffic was also permitted to continue through the area.
One house on the east side of Robinson was noticeable for a large amount of household effects and children’s toys strewn about the yard and sidewalk, some spilling onto the street. Multiple police officers could be seen entering and exiting that specific yard early Thursday afternoon.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation can phone the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500, or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers either by phone at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.reginacrimestoppers.ca.
