SANDY BAY, Sask. — Update: Sandy Bay RCMP have arrested an individual in relation to this investigation.
RCMP say no charges have been laid at this time and the investigation into the shooting continues.
Original story: A man was taken to a local clinic with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Sandy Bay Tuesday morning, say police.
On Oct. 6 at around 7:50 a.m., Sandy Bay RCMP received a report of a shooting in the community.
Their initial investigation determined a firearm was discharged toward a vehicle, striking a man.
There is an increased police presence in Sandy Bay in relation to this incident.
As this investigation is unfolding, RCMP say they don’t have further information to share at this time. Updates will be provided as they are able. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, they will notify the public.
