REGINA, Sask. — The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Regina resident with internet child exploitation offences.
In July, the Regina Police Service received a complaint regarding online child exploitation. The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit was made aware of the occurrence and began investigating.
As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old man was charged with possession child sexual abuse and exploitation material, and accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material
He appeared in court on Sept. 16 and was released on conditons. He appears next on Oct. 13.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service and Saskatoon Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material.
