The Nipawin Hawks had five different goal scorers and a three-assist performance from rookie Carson Park in a 5-2 win over the Estevan Bruins Wednesday night.
Mason Lowther, Raydr Wallington, Jack Janzen, Mason Karakochuk and Hudson Gainer found the back of the net for Nipawin, while Steven Steranka and Lochlan Tetarenko replied for Estevan.
Connor Johnson made 27 saves for the victory as the Hawks improved to 3-1 in their last four games after opening the season with three straight losses.
Alexander Watren stopped 35 shots in the loss for the Bruins.
In Warman, the Wolverines stayed near the top of the SJHL standings with a 3-1 victory over the La Ronge Ice Wolves.
Peyton Allard scored once and added an assist, while Sawyer Scheidt scored the eventual game-winner in the second period.
Scheidt now has three goals on the season, including two game-winning goals, as Warman improved to 5-1-0-2.
Evan Hutcheon made 21 saves to pick up the win in his SJHL debut, while Ryder Wilm scored his first SJHL goal for La Ronge.
And in Melfort, the Weyburn Red Wings doubled the Mustangs 4-2.
Jace Harder scored twice and Nate Stevens made 29 saves for Weyburn, with Jaxson Doyle and Callas Pierce each adding a goal and an assist.
Mathew Bertolin and Carter Wingert scored for Melfort.
The win moved Weyburn into sole possession of first place in the BUNGE Division.
Thursday is an off day around the SJHL, but all 12 teams will be back in action Friday night.
Estevan visits Flin Flon, Melville heads to Yorkton for the traditional Highway 10 rivalry, Humboldt visits Nipawin, Melfort travels to Battlefords, Weyburn heads north to La Ronge, and Warman visits Kindersley.
