The City of Regina has put forth a survey regarding Victoria Avenue between Broad and Arcola streets.
According to the city, the corridor is considered a priority with up to 38,000 people traveling on it daily including three public transit routes with 14 stops. The City also says this stretch of Victoria Avenue has been designated a target area for new apartments and commercial space in the future.
The City is seeking feedback from residents in the survey on what they’d like to see as part of future improvements. Replacing old infrastructure above and below the street is the main focus of the project, however they want feedback on how to improve access to the street and how it looks overall. Improving safety for pedestrians is also on the priority list.
The survey will be available for residents from now until November 3rd and two open houses are scheduled for later in October and late November/early December. Construction in the area is not expected to start for few years yet.
