It has become a spot for many “Reginans” during the month of December.
On Friday night, Champ Crescent in northwest Regina turns into Candy Cane Lane as the street will be full of homes with light displays and inflatables for all to see.
It is the seventh year that this has been done by the Normanview Residents Group.
Spokesperson Brian Runge says it has become a very popular attraction and is one the entire community has gotten behind.
“It is a spectacle in itself, there is no doubt about it.” Runge said. “It has become a family tradition for all demographics it would seem as we get young, old, people from all different backgrounds, it is something they really love to see.
While Champ Crescent is the center of Candy Cane Lane. almost 400 houses in the Normanview subdivision will be lit up for people to see.
Runge reminds people that if on Champ Crescent, it is a walking tour and not a driving tour.
Admission is four dollars for adults with proceeds going to Habitat for Homes and Souls Harbour.
In the six years that Candy Cane Lane has been operating, there have been almost 65,000 visits.
