ITUNA, Sask. – Travis Keisig is running officially for a third term as MLA for Last Mountain – Touchwood.
The Saskatchewan Party MLA was nominated by acclamation at a nomination meeting Oct. 29, according to a party news release. He is the twelfth candidate put in place by the Saskatchewan Party to run for the 2028 provincial vote.
Keisig is currently Legislative Secretary to the Minister responsible for Crown Investments Corporation, after previous stints as Minister of Environment and on the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs and Justice.
On social media this week, Keisig expressed his gratitude about being nominated to run again.
"To be elected as the MLA for Last Mountain-Touchwood in 2020 felt like the greatest honour. Then 2024 came along, and I was given the opportunity to do it all over again. Having the people's confidence for a third time as the Saskatchewan Party candidate is indescribable. I will never take for granted the people and communities I have the honour to represent. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much Last Mountain-Touchwood!"
