The NDP is raising fears the SaskParty government is looking at cuts and crown corporation sell-offs to balance the books.
Opposition leader Ryan Meili is dissatisfied with provincial fiscal projections and is worried about cuts to key areas like health and education.
He expects taxes could also be on the rise and crown sell-offs.
Premier Scott Moe says the province is the first in Canada to release a budget and comprehensive fiscal figures following the COVID-19 outbreak.
He says the province has expanded funding for health care and education and outlined an economic recovery plan.
He adds the province has a 200 million dollar contingency plan for the COVID-19 outbreak.
He also says the province has a 50 million dollar small business emergency payment and a temporary wage support program with Ottawa.
Moe adds the province has a 2 million dollar self-isolation support program so those feeling ill don’t have to go to work and spread the coronavirus.
He adds the province is also investing in a vaccine for COVID-19.
