University of Regina President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vianne Timmons has resigned.
In a letter she submitted to the board, Timmons indicated she is pursuing an opportunity as president and vice-chancellor at Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John’s.
Her resignation will take effect on April 1.
Provost and Vice-President Thomas Chase will take over the position in the interim while the search begins for Timmons’ successor.
