The Regina Pats (3-3) moved back to the .500 mark after they defeated the Brandon Wheat Kings 3-1.
Matthew Kieper made 51 saves for Regina to earn the victory in between the pipes.
The Pats scored three unanswered goals to pick the win.
Alexander Suzdalev had a pair, Tanner Howe also scored. Connor Bedard was able to extend his point streak to five games with two assists.
Pats assistant coach Ken Schneider says Kieper was in the zone against the Wheat Kings.
“As the game start to progress you could see him sucking up all the pucks, he wasn’t giving out a lot of rebounds, you started to get the sense he was going to be really difficult to beat tonight.”
Schneider added that the he believes tonight’s performance by Kieper could be a real game changer for the netminder.
The Pats assistant coach added that his team rebounded from the first period.
“I would say we got better as the game wore on, a lot of that was due to good goaltending, it starts from there and you work out from there. ”
The powerplay for the Pats went 1/1.
After five straight games on the road, the Pats return home on Friday when they face the Winnipeg Ice at the Brandt Centre.
