The Saskatchewan health Authority issued a warning Wednesday night, asking residents in both southwestern and west central Saskatchewan to be extra vigilant in protecting themselves and others from COVID-19.
Due to increased contact tracing and testing the SHA says numerous additional people have been found to be infected with the virus.
The province also says results from 91 tests will be released on Thursday, that combined with tests results of around 160 others are expected to bring provincial case numbers up over the next few days.
The health authority has warned of an increased risk of COVID-19 in the following communities; Maple Creek (No. 111), Auvergne (No. 76), Biggar (No. 347), City of Swift Current, Eagle Creek (No. 376), Grandview #349, Harris (No. 316), Kellross #247, Lac Pelletier (No. 107), Newcombe (No. 260), Perdue (No. 346), Pleasant Valley #288, Prairiedale (No. 321) and Tramping Lake #380.
