A 22-year-old Saskatoon man who was arrested on Wednesday after threatening Regina Police and himself with a knife is facing more charges.

Regina Police arrested Edward Ross on Wednesday where he was initially charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Assaulting a Police Officer with a Weapon. Ross was also charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon in connection with this event.
Police later discovered Ross may have been involved in an assault with a weapon, where a man was seen damaging parked cars with a knife on the 200 block of Victoria Avenue. An employee of a nearby business confronted the suspect who then chased the employee down the street.
Officers are also now aware the suspect may have been responsible for a robbery at a business on the 3700 block of Quance Street, on Monday night just before 7:30 p.m.
A man entered the business, selected products from the shelves and then walked toward the front door. An employee attempted to stop the man at the door and it’s alleged the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened the staff member. Police obtained a description of the suspect following the incident.
The new charges 22-year-old Edward Ross is now facing are; Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, two counts of Mischief under $5,000 and Robbery.
Ross will be in court on Friday morning.
