A man and a woman from Regina have been arrested and charged in connection to two separate robberies with one happening three years ago.
The first incident was a break and enter at around 1:30 a.m. on July 29, 2017 on the 4500 block of 2nd Avenue North. A man had invited a woman to his home when she arrived with a man entering through the back door of the residence with a large dog.
The woman allegedly stole items from the victim’s home and allegedly forced the victim to inhale an unknown substance, believed to be drugs.
Fast forward nearly three years later to June 23, 2020 when police were dispatched at 6:00 a.m. to the 200 block of Albert Street North for a report of a robbery.
A man was sitting in his parked vehicle on the 1000 block of Retallack Street when a woman approached the vehicle. At the same time, a man forced his way into the victim’s passenger side.
He allegedly assaulted the victim, threatened him and told him to drive to a bank to take money out of an ATM machine. The victim managed to flee from the vehicle before calling Regina police. Further investigation revealed that the man and woman suspects were known to each other.
The investigation led to the arrests of 32-year-old Erin Lynn Keewatin and 40-year-old Kelly Eugene Charbonneau who face multiple charges including robbery. They made their first court appearances on Monday morning.
