Regina Huda School has closed its doors for the next two weeks after a few cases of students from the school testing positive for COVID-19.
While the cases are still under investigation by the Saskatchewan Health Authority, the school will remain closed to students and staff until November 13. The school will reopen on November 16 if safe to do so.
All school staff have since been informed; school families are being contacted with letters being sent out by the school.
“The Saskatchewan Health Authority will contact any individual that may be considered a close contact. A close contact is considered anyone who has been within six feet for at least 15 minutes,” states the release from Regina Huda School.
“All affected areas in the school will be cleaned and disinfected according to both routine and specific protocols, as required.”
Remote learning has already begun for students and will continue until November 13.
