Saskatchewan feeder cattle prices were mixed during the past week across the province.
Bids for heavier feeder steers in Saskatchewan were stable to slightly higher last week, while lighter animals saw price declines.
Canfax reports a 500-600 pound steer had an average provincial price of $297.50 per hundredweight, down about six dollars.
900 pound and over steers had the biggest increase of $2.17 to average $234.42 per hundredweight.
Four of the six weight categories for feeder heifers were positive last week, with the increases between 70 cents and $2.70 per hundredweight.
Prices of live, non-fed cattle in Alberta were mixed.
The price of D2 slaughter cows were up $1.13 to average $100.92 per hundredweight.
D3 Cows were down 78 cents to average $87.30.
