Cases of COVID-19 are on the rise again in Canada with doctors saying we have entered a fourth wave of the pandemic.
With that news coming, the province is reporting 90 new cases of the virus on Wednesday. Regina has five of the new cases. The others are located in The new cases are located in the Far North West (1), Far North Central (3), Far North East (24), North West (4), North Central (7), North East (4), Saskatoon (22), Central West (2), Central East (3), South West (4), South Central (2) and South East (5) zones, and four new cases are pending residence information. The active case count now stands at 682 with Regina having 37 of those cases. Saskatoon has the most at 173.
Almost one-third of the new cases are in both the 19 and under and 20 to 39 years age category
A total of 65 individuals are hospitalized with 15 in the ICU. Of the 65 patients, the government says 45 of them are not fully vaccinated.
