COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan continue to surge higher.
It is another record-setting day when it comes to new cases as 190 were announced by the provincial government Monday with 22 recoveries. It puts the active case count at 1,289 which on October 1 stood at 144.
The new cases are located in the Far North West (15), Far North Central (1), Far North East (4), North West (19), North Central (15), North East (6), Saskatoon (76), Central West (2), Central East (8), Regina (25), South West (5), South Central (1) and South East (7) zones.
Six (6) new cases have pending residence information. One case reported November 7 with pending residence information has been assigned to the North West zone.
For the third straight day, someone has passed away due to the virus. The person, who was in their 80’s, is in the north central zone and is the 29th person to die.
Thirty-seven people are in hospital. Twenty-nine people are receiving inpatient care; one in the Far North West, one in the Far North East, two in North West, six in North Central, 14 in Saskatoon, four in Regina and one in the South East zones. Eight people are in intensive care; two in North Central, four in Saskatoon and two in Regina.
2,505 COVID-19 tests were processed in Saskatchewan bringing the total number of tests to 284,021.
