Mild weather in mid-September has brought relief to hail adjusters following a challenging storm season in late August and the first couple days of this month.
The president of the Canadian Crop Hail Association, Scott McQueen, says there were 47 hail damage claims from storms between September 5th and 15th.
He says the light damage was a welcome relief from severe losses in storms at the end of August and early September.
McQueen says the claims were at scattered locations around Kenaston, Hawarden, Yorkton and Swift Current areas.
He says the hail stones were pea size and smaller.
For the season, he says claim numbers are below average but almost double the amount per claim from last year.
